The resort Engadin St. Moritz is situated on the southern side of the Swiss Alps, at 1,800 meters above sea level. The incomparable harmony of its lake scenery has made the Engadin known throughout the world as the "festival hall of the Alps".

The name Bivio means "parting of the ways" and is inseparably bound up with two ancient Roman passes, the Septimer and the Julier. The highest village in Surses with just 260 souls to its name, Bivio has what must be the most extraordinary linguistic make-up in all of Europe, or so one scholar of note has concluded.

Bad Ragaz in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley at the foot of the Pizol has a long tradition as a health spa. Today it is a wellness resort with top-class hotels, thermal baths and golf courses. The warm (37°C) healing waters bubble up from inside the mountain in the deep, mysterious Tamina Gorge in nearby Pfäfers.

Splügen is a typical pass village with well preserved architecture, impressive palazzi and sun-browned wooden Walser houses.

Val Lumnezia, Surselva’s largest side valley, which stretches from Ilanz towards the south, is a sunny alpine valley with a stunning panorama. It is regarded as a small but beautiful natural vacation destination.

Falera is the oldest municipality in the destination of Flims Laax Falera and the smallest in terms of area. Thanks to its altitude it offers a clear and unique view over the Rhine Valley to Chur and from the Lugnez towards Obersaxen.

The sunny Walser village lies at an altitude of 1450 meters roughly 15 km from Klosters in pretty Prättigau and is known to be a most popular climbing and ski-tours paradise. Small and original with oodles of charm.

The three mountain villages of Brigels, Waltensburg and Andiast form a compact and family-friendly holiday region in the Surselva’s Anterior Rhine Valley (Vorderrhein) area.

The unspoilt alpine village of Bergün lies at the foot of the Albula Pass at the gateway to the Engadine. You do not have to be a railway historian to be amazed by the Albula railway line, which is still maintained in its entirety in almost its original condition, 100 years after its construction. In winter, the resort of Bergün is a mecca for sledgers.

Giovanni Segantini was almost certainly sitting in the garden of the Palazzo Salis when he claimed that Soglio was "the gateway to paradise". Soglio is an enchanting village of 300 souls in the Bergell region, also famous for its flowers. What could be more romantic?

With 235 kilometres of pistes stretching across 100+ square kilometres of snow-assured slopes around the 'Crap Sogn Gion', the ski region of the Flims, Laax and Falera resorts constitutes one of Switzerland's very large, connected winter sports regions. In summer, Flims Laax Falera becomes one enormous outdoor 'playground' for active guests.

The gate to the romantic Fex Valley is idyllically embedded between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana. With only 700 inhabitants, Sils presents itself in an introspective, familiar and inviting manner. Besides the tremendous natural experience, the cultural offerings are also exquisite.

The Bündner Herrschaft, located in the northernmost corner of Graubünden, is the gateway to the canton. Its excellent Blauburgunder wines made the region famous as a winegrowing region. The fairly small vacation region has at its center the town of Maienfeld, home of Heidi - the world-famous children’s book character.

For those who are looking for peace and quiet, Madulain is the place to go. The smallest commune in the upper Engadine has no more than 200 inhabitants, but the special charm of its typical Engadine houses and cultivated Rhaeto-Romanic culture is all the more convincing.

Near the crest of the pass lies the holiday resort San Bernardino. Bogs, pine trees and a special flora lend San Bernardino a unique atmosphere. The wet meadows around the village produce a wetland flora that boasts the largest number of species in the southern part of the Alps. In winter, when the pass road is closed, San Bernardino turns into a winter sport paradise.
