In Zugerland's oldest restaurant in the monastery village of Menzingen, gourmet lovers are spoiled with regional and seasonal cuisine. Menus are created with a lot of passion and change every month.

Almost everything that is charmingly and skillfully served in the dignified restaurant, in the cosy pub or on the sun-drenched terrace is prepared by chef and patron Daniel Kühne's team in the ultra-modern kitchen.

During the day we are happy to serve you our dishes from the somewhat smaller and simpler menu as well as our daily menu. In the evening from 6 pm we recommend our dishes from the evening menu.

The experience of a restaurant visit is only completed by the successful cooperation of kitchen and service.

The Sihlmatt has been known for fresh trout served whole for decades. We carry on this tradition and complement it with an ever-changing menu.

The cozy mountain inn with its spacious sun terrace is located right next to the mountain station of the revolving gondola lift.

Our menu is renewed seasonally. In autumn, from mid-September to the end of October, we serve fine wild dishes from the fallow deer farm "Töni" on the Mostelberg.

Our busy hands in the kitchen use seasonal products. We source our meat from the Hegglin village butcher's shop in Menzingen, which supplies us exclusively with Swiss meat from the region. The trout comes from our own farm.

The milk is brought to Sattel every other day. There is no fixed electricity on the alp, so our offer in the kitchen is adapted to what is feasible.
