The Swiss Path leads to historic sites pertaining to the Swiss Confederation. The path is divided into stages that are partially wheelchair-accessible, and can be reached by ship or by train. Overnight stays are possible at the end of some of the trails.

From St. Saphorin in a diverse route going uphill and downhill through the vines to Lutry. Indeed, it is on the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces where bon vivants get into top gear.

The mule track over the Simplon, developed over 300 years ago by Kaspar Stockalper, has long handed over its economic importance to new roads. However, a few years ago it was reborn as a cultural hiking trail.

From the Hallau wine region, the route leads through the extensive forests of the Randen hill chain, over the old high-level trail to Schaffhausen. On the way: superb views from towers on the Randen and from the elevated villages of Büttenhardt and Lohn.

Starting in Interlaken, this varied path leads along the banks of the River Aare and the shore of Lake Thun through Unterseen. In addition to the waters, the ancient fortress ruins and nature reserve at Weissenau are also truly eye-catching.

The Sentiero Cristallina links Bignasco in Valle Maggia with Airolo in Val Bedretto. Between them lie steep mountain slopes, a waterfall on a village outskirts, crystalline rock, Alpine lakes/reservoirs, idyllic alps and remote hamlets.

A spectacularly scenic high-level trail through the Val Bregaglia. You follow old paths through light mixed forest, over solid granite slabs and always with views of mighty granite spikes touching the sky on the other side of the valley.

The two Mythen peaks to the right; to the left, first the Riemenstalden valley, then Lake Uri – a succession of sweeping vistas! Chairlift ascent to the Klingenstock and scenic hike to Fronalpstock with panoramic ridge views as well as extensive views from the mountain house. Valley descent to Stoos again via chairlift.

The wine trail passes through the vineyards of Weinfelden, Boltshausen and Ottoberg. More than 30 information boards along the way share fascinating facts about vines, types of grape, vinification and winegrowers.

This route starts in Pfäffikon SZ and leads along the bank of the Seedamm (lake dam) to Rapperswil SG. The section is marked by wonderful far-reaching views over an endless plain with flower-filled fields and meadows as well as the glistening Zurichsee (lake). The ultimate holiday feeling!

This route starts in Bendern in the Principality of Liechtenstein and leads mainly along the Rhine dam. The wide, smoothly surfaced path and breathtaking views make this an ideal leisure area.

This trail begins in Solothurn and takes you through the mystical Verenaschlucht (Verena Gorge) and up to the Weissenstein with its traditional spa hotel and breathtaking panoramic views. The trail then descends steeply down into Thal and on to Welschenrohr.

This hike from the Tracouet mountain station to Haute-Nendaz leads to the largest and oldest larches in Europe. Further highlights include the gondola ride with its beautiful panoramic views, the Lac Noir (Black Lake) mountain lake, the wonderful forest paths and the Bisse de Saxon irrigation channel, the longest in Valais.

The two-day Ibex Trek in the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch takes participants through rugged landscape to the animals who have truly mastered life at high altitude – the Ibex.

It is the considerable difference in altitude that makes this lesser known hike through the lower part of the Val Poschiavo challenging. It takes us across one of the valley's largest alpine pastures, through larch forests and above the tree line to two lakes close to the Italian border.

This interesting hike leads past unique and unspoilt scenery typical to the Jura region with its gorges, woods, meadows and rocky faces. Following far-reaching views seen from the Belchenflue and decent through woods and meadows, Olten invites you to stop for a pause along the River Aare.

From Col des Planches over meadows to Col du Lein, a wonderful spot to stop with barbecue places. Then into the forest at Boveresse and on romantic paths alongside the Bisse de Saxon (irrigation channels), at first dry, later running with water, to Tsoumaz.

This trail leads past 17 churches and chapels. These witnesses of the past are strung along the ancient Lucerne - Aarburg route. The openness and breadth of the hilly landscape of Canton Lucerne with Mts. Pilatus, Napf and Menzberg radiates welcome.

This trip offers exceptional views of the crevasseriven Morteratsch Glacier and of the ice-capped peaks of the Bernina massif.

Over the valley slopes to Oberengadin - and Brail with its ornate small church; the Ober and Unterengadin border by «Punt Ota» and old customs house (later to become a parsonage and then school) with inscription: «Veglia chesa da scuola.» Pretty Cinuos-chel village centre by the church.

The route in and around the charming town of St-Ursanne in Canton Jura is a treat for history lovers. The captivating little town on the River Doubs has changed little over the centuries. It is impressive and well worth a visit.

The hiking trail along the UNESCO World Heritage section of the Rhaetian Railway runs as near as possible to the Albula and Bernina railway line, regularly affording enchanting open views of an over 100-year-old total artwork in stunning Alpine scenery.

From Zeiningen through forests and fields over the Chriesiberg to Wegenstetten. A relatively easy hike with good views.

The Thur flows between the Churfirsten and Säntis Massif through the Canton of St. Gallen toward the canton to which it has lent its name. A well-known personality, Ulrich Bräker (1735-1798) was a citizen of Wattwil. Why not read his lifestory “The Poor Man of Tokkenburg“ (“Der arme Mann vom Tokkenburg”) as spiritual preparation? In any case, the fantastic landscape in the green valley can be thoroughly enjoyed at all times.

Fricktaler Höhenweg is 60 kilometres long. Thanks to its excellent country and forest paths and the relatively low elevation gain, it’s also suitable for less experienced hikers. Hiking on the Fricktaler Höhenweg is particularly attractive in spring, when the region’s countless cherry trees are in full blossom.

Numerous places to take a break or swim are found along the lake shores – and the unspoilt Lachner Horn landscapes and Schmerikon estuary cordially invite you to rest a while. Attractive contrast on this leg is the crossing of the woods by Buchberg.

The route from Zug to Cham leads along the shores of the Zugersee lake. A route marked by variety with it's urbane promenades, tranquil woodland and meadow sections and idyllic views of the lake.

Follow the infant river Rhone to Gletsch and then continue towards the Furka Pass, with the historic Furka railway line alongside you. If you're lucky, you'll see a traditional steam train passing by. Striking views of the Rhone Glacier and the entire Goms valley.
