Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory at a glance
The Maison Cailler chocolate factory in Broc is the visitor centre of the oldest surviving chocolate brand in Switzerland. The factory has been in existence since 1898. The interactive tour takes you through the history of cocoa and shows chocolate production from the cocoa tree to the finished bar. Highlight: The tasting.
What to experience
Interactive guided tour of the museum (1 hour)
The tour starts with the Aztecs and takes you through the history of cocoa to modern production. You hold roasted cocoa beans in your hands, smell fresh chocolate and watch the chocolatiers at work. At the end, a tasting with many varieties awaits you.

- Tip: Book your ticket online to avoid waiting in line.
Chocolate workshop (1–2 hours)
In the workshops, you will become a chocolatier yourself. You will learn the art of tempering and create your own chocolate creations. There are courses for families, for children from 6 years of age and for adults. You can take your finished creations home to enjoy.
- Tip: Make a reservation early, the places are booked up quickly.
Outdoor Chocolate Game for Families (1 hour)
A circular route of 2.5 kilometres takes you around the factory grounds. Play the interactive chocolate game with your smartphone and meet historical figures such as Alexandre Cailler, the builder of the factory in Broc. At the finish, a surprise awaits the whole family.
- Good to know: The game is free of charge and possible without registration.
- Tip: The trail is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
