Experiences in Albulatal / Bergün

A must for all railway fans – beauty and boldness combined. With its 65m high pillars, tapering towards the top, the viaduct is one of the most elegant bridge constructions in Graubünden. The most frequently photographed feature of the Rhaetian Railways.

At the Albula Railway Museum in Bergün, you dive into the history of the Rhaetian Railway. Across 1,300 m², 600 exhibits show how the UNESCO World Heritage route between Thusis and Samedan was built and continues to operate today.

For 7km along the Albula, the Landwasser and the Schaftobelbach river.

There are so many legends and historical tales associated with this building, its inhabitants, and its destruction in 1499. The castle was the ancestral home of the barons of Vaz.

Every Sunday you can take the fairytale railway trip from Landquart to Samedan through the UNESCO World Heritage Site in a panorama or classic wooden train carriage.
