A secured climb for mountain walkers, offering two Vie ferrate for beginners and experienced climbers on the 'Rüeblihorn' the name given by the Saanenland locals to Le Rubli. Six courses of various levels of difficulty, ranging in height from 2 to 25 metres, can be completed by making use of climbing belts, sliding ropes and vines (lianas).

Lake Gruyère (Lac de la Gruyère) is the longest and second-largest artificial lake in Switzerland, measuring 13.5 kilometres and covering almost ten square kilometres at high water. This is precisely why the lake on the edge of the Fribourg foothills is so popular for all kinds of watersports.

Le Gruyère AOP cheese is produced in ample quantities. 29'000 tons of the hard cheese are made annually. It bears the registered trademark AOP (indicating its origin). There is a modern show dairy that produces Le Gruyère AOP cheese, the "La Maison du Gruyère".

Visit the Gruyere Museum and discover local traditional ways and customs, and the treasured heritage of the area: poyas, sculpted spoons, wardrobes and costumes are displayed in a modern setting.

No wonder Fribourg citizens sing songs of the Moléson as the mountain that stole their hearts – already the journey to this scenic summit is a treat. The viewing platform on the roof of the mountain station and the giant telescope on the summit offer new perspectives.

Rossinière is located at 930 m above sea level in the Pays-d'Enhaut (Oberland) and has numerous wooden chalets with painted and intricately carved facades. This centuries-old cultural heritage stands to be admired in the village and in the hamlet of La Frasse.

As tourists savor a fondue outside on the square, the surreal works of H.R. Giger come alive inside the Château St. Germain castle - where his famous film decor, pictures, sculptures and furniture are set out in the form of exhibition. And if you’d like even more Giger-ambiance, take a seat in the bar opposite, where you can sip Martinis in a vault of bone.
