La Maison du Gruyère – Show Dairy
Overview
Intro
Watch how the famous Gruyère AOP is made from fresh alpine milk. At the La Maison du Gruyère show dairy, you can look directly into the copper kettle of the cheesemakers and taste the cheese in 3 degrees of ripeness.
La Maison du Gruyère at a glance
The show dairy is located at the foot of the medieval town of Gruyère in the canton Fribourg. Every day, the farmers of the region deliver their fresh milk, which is processed into around 48 cheese wheels. An interactive exhibition takes you on a journey through the world of Gruyère AOP.
