The hike offers an insight into a typical region once settled by the Walser people, with Furna, a dispersed settlement high above the Prättigau and its scattered homesteads, agriculture and forestry, and the Fadeuer as a rewarding panoramic mountain summit.

The surroundings change from mountains to the hilly terrain of mittleren Toggenburg. Passing the Regelstein vantage point and the pass village of Ricken, it leads to Atzmännig and on to the stage destination of Chrüzegg.

The Gantrisch Panoraweg Path offers a scenic pre-Alps hike with many spectacular viewpoints. The tour takes place on a well structured and signposted hiking path – and is a tour suitable for undertaking in stages.

Through the refreshingly cool gorge on the Urnersee lake - along the lakeshore road to Risleten and a climb through the attractive Risletenschlucht gorge. Crossing of the Stützberg along the historic path to Volligen and arrival in Rütli, with views down to the Urnersee lake.
