The Basel-based artist duo, Admir Jahic (b. 1975, Basel) and Comenius Roethlisberger (b. 1971, Basel), will present a new project at Kunst Raum Riehen this fall.
La Maison des Heures Perdues is a place where time leaves its mark. The exhibition brings together two groups of works by Ado & Comenius that explore, in different ways, memory, transience, and collective experience.
The series *Underworld: Fade Away and Radiate*, created in 2026, unfolds as a spatial composition of light, language, and form. Luminous fragments permeate the space like fleeting thoughts or memories—present and yet always on the verge of disappearing.
Since 2015, the series *Büsi – A Not So Guilty Pleasure* has been growing continuously. Unlike traditional sculpture, the cats are not created solely by the artists but are modeled from clay by visitors. Each figure bears the signature of a different person and adds to the ever-expanding ensemble.
At La Maison des Heures Perdues, two series of works from different periods of creation come together—one new, the other having been in the making for a decade. Together, they create a place where memories are not preserved but are constantly being recreated: through light, material, and encounters with visitors.
