Innovation meets closeness to nature and transparency: this is the philosophy of the natural care brand Soeder, founded in 2013 by Johan and Hanna Olzon Åkerström. The new flagship store in the historic south wing of Zurich's main railway station emphasises this core idea. The premises, designed by Soeder founder Hanna Olzon Åkerström, are seven metres high and cover a total of 200 square metres.
The brand's entire range is available: the selection ranges from Soeder classics such as liquid natural soap, lotions, sanitisers and hair care products to strictly limited collaborations with like-minded brands. All products have one thing in common: they are made from the best ingredients such as cold-pressed organic oils and do not contain any synthetic additives. The entire range can be tested on site.
The architectural heritage of the listed building has been preserved in the design of the shop. The historical grandeur meets the minimalist design that Soeder is known for. The flagship store is a place that is constantly evolving: An information area where visitors can learn all about sustainable production and the importance of natural ingredients is in the works, as is a 70 square metre VIP area for personal purchases and treatments as well as special events on the upper floor.
The core idea of sustainability is always at the centre, which is also reflected in the choice of the characteristic brown Soeder glass bottles. These can be refilled as often as required. Naturally, the new flagship store has a fully equipped refill station: it is one of more than 130 throughout Switzerland.
Soeder also has other stores in the railway stations in Basel and Zurich-Stadelhofen.
