The mountain house of Möriken-Wildegg is located at the edge of Bettmeralp (Valais, Switzerland) in a forest clearing. Access is via the cable car from Betten FO to the car-free Bettmeralp. Taxis can be ordered for transport. The surrounding area offers various sports and recreational activities, including table tennis, volleyball, a barbecue area, and a playground.
Inside the house, you will find ski storage, a cloakroom, a large dining and lounge area with a fireplace, a classroom, a playroom in the basement, a fully equipped kitchen, showers/WC, sleeping rooms, and a telephone booth.
Public leisure activities include 33 km of ski slopes, 4 km of cross-country skiing trails, 15 km of winter hiking paths, sledding trails, an ice rink, an indoor pool, sauna, solarium, tennis hall, bowling, mini-golf, fitness courses, rowing, inline skating, glacier tours, dancing, pubs, and a beach volleyball court.
The mountain house underwent energy renovation in summer 2020, featuring a ground probe heating system and photovoltaic installation, cutting CO₂ emissions by 85%.
Rental is available only on a weekly basis (usually Saturday to Saturday). Additional costs include a deposit of CHF 500.00, heating/hot water CHF 340.00 (winter) / CHF 160.00 (summer), a bed linen set for CHF 7.50 (incl. 8.1% VAT), final cleaning CHF 450.00 - CHF 650.00 (based on used floors), tourist tax, and electricity consumption billed according to the meter at current rates.
