This is Elm

Elm is located in the Sernftal in the canton Glarus, surrounded by the Tschingelhörner. The charming village is known for its geological features as well as the Martinsloch and convinces with its family atmosphere.

Discover Elm

A walking tour of the village will take you to wooden houses, an old church and magnificent views. On the Planet Trail, you will get to know the solar system in a playful way. The Alpine Trail shows you life on the alp. Hikes and bike tours start directly in the village. In winter, family-friendly slopes, snowshoe trails and toboggan runs await you.

Martin's Hole and Sardona Tectonic Arena

Twice a year, sunlight falls through the Martinsloch directly onto the church. Behind: The Tschingelhörner and the Glarus Main Thrust, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This rock displacement, which is unique in the world, makes Elm a geological highlight.

Family fun in the Elm ski area

The well-arranged ski area offers you easy slopes, a snow park and the Globi children's area. Here children learn to ski in a playful way. Ski tourers and winter hikers will also find ideal conditions.

Around Elm

Variety is offered by the Garichtisee with cable car access, hikes into the Wichlen or Kärpftal and bike tours with a view. In summer and winter you will experience nature almost without crowds.
