This festival keeps alive an old custom, when cheesemakers would clear out their cellars before the herds were driven up to the mountain pastures. Local craft demonstrations – Discover how Gruyère AOP is made, as well as cream spoons and other wooden utensils, or how lace is crafted. Don’t miss the magical moment when the cheeses are brought out at the Chalet de la Confrérie, scheduled for around 11:00 and 15:00!

Musical entertainment – The Chœur de la Confrérie du Gruyère, the folk orchestra ‘Les Trèna-tsôthè’, and the alphorns will provide entertainment throughout the day.
