An oasis on the shores of Lake Maggiore for all those who love sport, fun and well-being associated with water. The lido is open all year round, whatever the weather. It includes indoor and outdoor pools, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a thermal pool, a play pool and four water slides.
The 600m sandy beach on the Maggia Delta near Locarno is also ideal for rest and relaxation. Cabins, showers, changing rooms, two "Beach Volley“ courts, six table tennis tables, three children's playgrounds, a four-meter springboard and slides make the Lido Locarno a great beach experience for all.
The lido was designed by the architects Moro & Moro. The brothers placed one of the outdoor pools so that it appears to merge with the lake. Future expansions are set to increase the lido's use of hydroelectric and solar energy.
