This is Blatten-Belalp
Belalp lies above Blatten near Naters in the canton of Valais. It is a popular destination for winter sports and hiking with views of the Great Aletsch Glacier.
Discover Blatten-Belalp
In winter you can ski, snowboard or take the sledging run down to the valley. Children learn their first turns in Hexenland, while advanced skiers use the Hohstock slopes or freeride routes. In summer, you start right from the top station for hikes to Hohfluh, Riederhorn or along the panorama trails. Theme trails, suspension bridges and viewpoints offer insights into the alpine landscape and the Great Aletsch Glacier.
Versatile Winter Sports
Belalp offers around 56 kilometres of pistes for all skill levels. Children make their first turns in Hexenland, while advanced riders use the Hohstock freeride routes or the snowpark. The 7.1-kilometre sledging run leads from the mountain to the valley through snowy forests. Winter hiking and snowshoe routes connect viewpoints and mountain restaurants. You can also learn about slope preparation during a piste groomer experience.
Outdoor Paradise in Summer
In summer you start directly from the top station for hikes on over 60 kilometres of marked trails, such as the Massaweg or into the Gredetsch Valley. A highlight is the 124-metre suspension bridge across the Massa Gorge. You can go canyoning or climbing, or explore mountain bike trails. Lake Lüsgersee offers a quiet break with views of the Aletsch Glacier.
