Lake Staz
Intro
Lake Staz is located at 1,809 metres above sea level. It is nestled in the Stazerwald forest between St. Moritz and Pontresina. In summer, it is known as a bathing resort because of the crystal-clear water that flows down from the glaciers of the Bernina Alps and because of its pleasant temperature.

The Grisons mountain lake can be reached from both sides of the hiking trail from Pontresina to Lake St. Moritz. From the shore of Lake St. Moritz, the hike takes approx. 20 minutes, while the trail from Pontresina through the forest takes approx. 60 minutes. The latter presents itself in a splendid sea of colour at any time of year
On the lake shore is a small hotel-restaurant that can look back on 100 years of tradition. Renovated in 2008, it features modern alpine design both indoors and on the terrace. The restaurant is also a popular place to enjoy the rustic local cuisine.
