Every first Friday of the month, the shops, theatres, galleries, restaurants and bars in Biel's old town come alive.
First Friday has become a key event in local life, offering a unique experience in Biel's old town. With its delightful narrow streets, small squares and splendid historic buildings, every first Friday of the month the old town hosts a lively festival where visitors and locals mingle.
To mark the occasion, the small shops and stalls are open until 10pm. Many of them offer light refreshments. Local associations offer a variety of shows and concerts in the narrow streets of the old town, art galleries open their doors. In a nutshell: First Friday simply shouldn't be missed!
