Intro
Из года в год люди со всех концов света стекаются в Риен, чтобы осмотреть коллекцию произведений искусства, собранную супругами Хильди и Эрнстом Бейелерами. Они приезжают, чтобы увидеть собрание работ классического модернизма или посетить одну из великолепных экспозиций. Кроме того, внимания заслуживают само здание музея, спроектированное Ренцо Пьяно, и парк вокруг него.
Положительные эмоции начинаются еще на подходе к музею. Итальянский художник Ренцо Пьяно создал симпатичное и функциональное здание, искусно вписав его в живописный ландшафт. В окружающем музей парке с множеством деревьев и скульптур на ухоженных газонах царит умиротворяющая атмосфера. А после прогулки по парку можно выпить кофе в ресторане виллы Berower.
Обстановка внутри здания фонда также располагает к спокойному созерцанию. В просторных светлых залах находятся 250 шедевров из коллекции Хильди и Эрнста Бейелеров. Часть пространства на первом этаже отведена под временные выставки – с произведениями таких художников, как Марлен Дюма, Герхард Рихтер или Фердинанд Ходлер. Выставки всегда сопровождаются чтениями, обсуждениями и экскурсиями.

Explore the collection and special exhibitions (1-3 hours)
In the light-flooded rooms of the Fondation Beyeler you will encounter works by Monet, Cézanne, Picasso, Giacometti and Rothko. In addition to the collection, the museum shows special exhibitions with international loans several times a year, usually monographs on an artist.
- Good to know: Buying the tickets online in advance saves you waiting times at the ticket office.
- Tip: By tram no. 6 from Basel Badischer Bahnhof you can reach the museum in 15 minutes.
Walk through the museum park
In the park around the museum, you can take in the exterior view of the Renzo Piano Building and walk along the water lily ponds. There are sculptures by Calder and Ellsworth Kelly in the park and the Beyeler Restaurant invites you to take a break.
- Good to know: The park is open to the public and free of charge.
Guided tours and workshops (1–1.5 hours)
You have the opportunity to take part in public guided tours of the current exhibitions every day. With children from 3 years of age, a family workshop is worthwhile. If you prefer to travel at your own pace, you can rent an audio guide at the ticket office. The audio guide is available in several languages.
- Good to know: The family workshops must be booked online in advance.
