Intro
Ощутить дух Олимпиады также, как его ощущают спортсмены, узнать историю Олимпийских игр от античности до наших дней можно благодаря новейшим компьютерным технологиям и аудио-визуальным средствам в Олимпийском музее Лозанны.
Идея создания музея, посвященного Олимпиаде, возникла благодаря Пьеру де Кубертену, который возродил Олимпийские Игры и основал Международный Олимпийский комитет. Олимпийский музей, открывшийся в 1993 году в Уши, районе Лозанны, отражает дух спортивных игр, объединяющих нации.
Необычное новое здание разместилось в живописном месте на берегу Женевского озера, здесь находится интерактивная экспозиция, хранятся документы, фильмы и коллекция драгоценных объетов, начиная с античной Греции и до нынешних времен. Музей является крупнейшим в мире информационным центром, касательно Олимпийских Игр.

Once the museum is closed, take a seat with your guests. A professional team accompanies and advises you so that you experience a wonderful evening. The Musée Olympique's catering service is at your disposal to organise aperitifs and dinners.

Permanent exhibition on three levels (1–2 hours)
On 3 floors you will cross the themes of the Olympic World, Olympic Games and Olympic spirit. Original objects such as torches, medals and sports equipment of famous athletes are on display as well as audiovisual shows on the greatest moments of the Games. Audio guides are available free of charge in 9 languages.
- Good to know: Children under 15 years of age have free admission when accompanied by an adult.
- Tip: Tour the museum with advantage from the top floor down.
Explore the Olympic Park
In the 8,000 square metre Olympic Park between the museum and Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), you stand in front of 43 sculptures on the theme of sports. On a 100-meter track, you can interactively compete with the best sprinters. At the entrance, the Olympic flame burns, which has never been extinguished since the museum opened.
- Good to know: The Olympic Park is accessible free of charge.
- Tip: Combine the park visit with a walk along the Quai d'Ouchy.
Temporary exhibitions and TOM Café
The museum regularly shows special exhibitions in two halls. At the TOM Café on the top floor, you can take a break with a view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. The café serves seasonal dishes and a brunch buffet on weekends.
- Good to know: For the weekend brunch in the TOM Café, a reservation is recommended.
