Des Balances has all Lucerne at its feet! Thanks to its location, the hotel makes a perfect base for shopping and sightseeing tours, besides having plenty of attractions of its own.

The history of the building dates back to the twelfth century and proves it to have been a popular meeting place throughout the ages, even if it did not become a hotel until 1837.

The painted facade is one of the most photographed motifs in town and viewed from the river Reuss, gives it the flair of a Venetian palace.
