    Starting point and destination of this 48km hiking loop is Wergenstein. For three days one is not only close to pristine flora, but also to a rich fauna: the Safien-Rheinwald region between Piz Beverin and Alp Alperschäli is populated by a large ibex colony with 380 animals. If you are lucky, you can observe male and female ibex and their young.

    In the water meadow area the trail meanders pleasantly along the Aare, followed by the climb up to the splendid Wildegg Castle. Romantic stretches of forest lead on to the seat of the Habsburg family and finally to their memorial site, the Königsfelden Monastery.

  • Chemin Tiergart-Plain Fayen

    Here there is gorgeous hiking through the beautiful Le Val Terbi area where you will experience wonderful nature - meadows, forests, canyons and pastures. This is a really nice walk, with attractive points: a forest hut (built in wood), a working taxidermist, UNESCO protected frescoes in a church.

  • Panoramaweg Schynige Platte

    The Schynige Platte area offers a comfortable and romantic mountain journey on the rack-and-pinion railway, an Alpine garden or a mountain hike to the Faulhorn, as well as a ridge walk with extensive views. This circular tour to the Tuba mountain and across the ridge of the Oberberghorn can also be shortened as desired.

    The Weissenstein – Passwang trail takes you in two stages from Solothurn over the Weissenstein to Welschenrohr, through the impressive Wolfschlucht (Wolf Gorge), over the Schelten Pass and on to the scenic vantage point of Passwang.     This hike presents the more mountainous side of the canton of Thurgau. After a steep climb, the trail crosses the narrow Tannegg arête to arrive at the Tannegg ruin, a recommended viewpoint. The trail makes up part of the 200km long Thurgau circular hiking trail.

    Elaborately decorated church in Lavin; Inn, wood-bridge crossing to the peaceful woods and meadows by Susch – and the famous Foura Baldirun forest area. Foura Baldirun made history as a place of refuge in the war years, and Güstizia as a place of justice. Stately Zernez is just in the distance.

    Nendaz is a paradise for suone (irrigation channel) hikers, with eight suonen (or bisse) it is the largest network still in use. Enjoyable tour from Planchouet to Veysonnaz, through flowery meadows alongside the open channel of the restored Grand Bisse de Vex.

  • ViaFrancigena, Stage 10/10

    This stage marks the end of the climb to the Grossen Sankt Bernhard-Pass. From Martigny a sometimes steep path leads over the narrow Les Trappistes pass to the medieval village of Sembrancher. From here the route follows the Napoleon-Weg.
