ベルン駅前に18世紀からあった歴史的なホテルを前身として、1859年に「ホテル・シュヴァイツァーホフ」として創業。以来、何度も改修を繰り返しながら、スイスを代表する名門ホテルとしての地位を確立してきました。2011年4月にモダンデザインで完全リニューアルしたホテルは、贅沢なバスルームのある広々とした部屋が99室。客室や新しいスパルームなどスタイリッシュですが、第2次世界大戦の頃に開業したグルメレストラン”の先駆けといわれたレストラン「ジャックス・ブラッスリーJack’s Brasserie」など、伝統も随所に残されています。

A former convent located right by the River Aare with a view of the Jura and Solothurn old town. The hotel was opened in 2005 with 16 comfortable rooms, conceptualised with a design-oriented clientele in mind. The Aaregarten Restaurant combines traditional cuisine with modern influences and rediscovered dishes from culinary Switzerland.
