Visitors obtain a lot of interesting information about the art of brewing on an exciting tour of Brauquöll Appenzell (Brewery Source Appenzell). The tour enables visitors to learn how Appenzell beer and Säntis Malt are created from fresh spring water.
Brauerei Locher AG was purchased by the Locher family in 1886 and is the last remaining brewery in Appenzell Innerrhoden. A short film in the historic “Hops Cellar” gives viewers insight into the brewery’s operations and the small museum brings the past to life.
Visitors participating in the tour receive audio equipment with commentary in German, English, French or Italian. Groups can arrange for an Appenzell beer tasting after the audio tour in the historic "Gnoss-Stöbli" (“Tasting Parlor”) – prior reservations are necessary.
