59. Priis-Chlepfä Schwyz
Overview
Intro
For over 50 years, the Priis-Chlepfä has been an established custom on Epiphany. Over 100 Geisselchlepfer compete for the title on Schwyz's main square, with their bangs being judged by a jury.
Over 50 years ago, the Priis-Chlepfä was held for the first time on Epiphany Day and has since become an established tradition. On the morning of Epiphany, the Priis-Chlepfä takes place on the main square in Schwyz. The best Geisselchlepfer in the canton take part in the competition and make loud bangs with their Geissel powerfully and according to all the rules of the art. A jury evaluates the over one hundred participants in the competition, who compete for the title of best Chlepfers. Experience this traditional custom for yourself.
