Baloise Session: ERYKAH BADU | MAX HERRE & JOY DENALANE
Overview
Intro
When La Badu meets Max Herre & Joy Denalane. The high priestess of neo-soul and two heavyweights of German soul bring funk, hip-hop, and clever love songs to Basel.
Erykah Badu comes from Dallas, Texas, Max Herre from Stuttgart, and Joy Denalane from Berlin. Badu brought neo-soul to the fore in the 1990s – wild, contemporary and unpredictable. Herre and Denalane brought together soul, rap, German lyrics and their own love story. «Magic Souls» takes us all the way from «Baduizm» to Freundeskreis and «Mamani», via «Mit Dir» and «Alles Liebe» to Basel On the one hand, a high priestess; on the other, a couple that found each other, lost each other and found each other again. A dream line-up for an evening full of soulful music. And a little magic to whisk you on your way to soul wonderland.
