Dan Elwood & the Twisted Smoke Band
Overview
Intro
Handcrafted blues, rhythm and blues, and soul at its finest! One of Zurich's best blues bands presents authentic blues that gets under your skin.
An evening filled with authentic blues, soul, and rock ’n’ roll awaits the audience when Dan Elwood and his Twisted Smoke Band take the stage at the Roxy Musikbar.
The Zurich-based band, led by Croatian singer and harmonica virtuoso Dan Elwood, captivates audiences with a powerful blend of classic rhythm ’n’ blues, soul, and rock ’n’ roll. In addition to their own songs, the band performs selected blues classics, infusing them with their unmistakable sound—characterized by vintage grooves, rousing rhythms, and emotional depth.
Their repertoire includes high-energy shuffles as well as soulful ballads, showcasing the band’s musical versatility. Songs like “Lonely Bluesman,” “Angel Come To Me,” and the crowd favorite “They Call Me Dan Elwood” exemplify the group’s signature style: honest, passionate, and straight from the heart.
Anyone who appreciates authentic live music can look forward to an atmospheric concert evening—no frills, but plenty of joy in playing, strong songs, and a genuine blues vibe.
An intimate venue, no frills—just honest blues, cold drinks, and a damn good time.
