Tour des stations

This event offers a challenge that is truly unique : "Measure yourself in one single day by facing the equivalent variation in altitude as that of climbing Mount Everest"! The Tour des stations leads you through the enchanting landscapes of the Valais, from the vineyards to high mountain settings, crossing through natural pastures, small authentic villages and internationally renowned resorts. The event aims to establish itself as a Swiss Granfondo cycling race.

The routes are offered with varying distances and levels of difficulty :

* Ultrafondo: 242 kilometres and 8'848 metres in positive variation in altitude

* Superfondo : 185 kilometres et 6'800 metres in positive variation in altitude

* Marmotte Granfondo : 133 kilometres et 4'700 in positive variation in altitude

* Mediofondo: 74 kilometres and 2'850 metres in positive variation in altitude

Times at which the planned passages are expected to pass in Nendaz (Most cyclists are expected to pass between 10:00 and 13:00):

* Mediofondo (74 km, 2'850 D+) : 10:00-13:50 in Nendaz

* Marmotte Grandfondo (133 km, 4'700 D+) : 10:45-17:10 in Nendaz

* Superfondo (185 km, 6'800 D+) : 12:05-18:00 in Nendaz

* Ultrafondo (242 km, 8'848 D+) : 13:55-18:45 and 16:35-18:45 in Nendaz

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Temporary deviations:

* Beuson – Veysonnaz : no upward access, diversion via Salins from 9:30 à 18:00

* Basse-Nendaz – Aproz via Fey : no downward access, diversion via Sion from 8:30 à 13:00

Traffic ban, total road closures:

* Saclentse – Pont de la Scie : both ways from 10:00 à 19:00

* Planchouet – Pont de la Scie : downward access from 10:00 à 19:00

* Spectators can cheer on the cyclists along the routes de Bernoud and the route de la Péroua in Nendaz

* Certain traffic restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of the races
