Willy Thaler: Art Exhibition
Overview
Intro
Observers of Life
Thaler’s paintings do not tell grand stories; they observe: people at work, landscapes in shifting light, bodies in space. The exhibition therefore organizes the work not by genre but by theme. Landscapes, nudes, socially critical scenes, and abstract works engage in a dialogue with one another. Also on display are works from the estate that have been deliberately preserved or reframed, precisely because the traces of time they bear reveal so much about Willy Thaler as a person.
