Intro
Швейцария в миниатюре – это 130 моделей домов, замков и памятников выполненных в масштабе 1:25 с тщательным вниманием к деталям. «Маленькая Швейцария» занимает целый цветущий парк с тысячами растений.
Швейцария в миниатюре в Мелиде была открыта в 1959 году – это единственный парк миниатюр в стране. Детальные модели включают такие известные объекты, как городок Хейди в Майнфельде, замки Бургдорф и Шильон, здание федерального парламента в Берне и кафедральный собор в Милане – единстванный макет, который можно также увидеть изнутри. Восемнадцать моделей поездов курсируют между макетами здания по ветке длинной почти в 3,5 км. Здесь даже есть действующая железная дорога на зубчатой передаче, канатная дорога, подвесной железнодрожный путь и корабли.
Швейцария в миниатюре услаждает взгляд еще и тем, что макеты окружены цветами пятнадцати тысяч видов, и тем, что их осеняют своей тенью более полутора тысяч деревьев – в натуральную величину. Детская игровая площадка, а также ресторан самообслуживания дополняют список возможностей.

Walking tour of miniature Switzerland (1–2 hours)
At Swissminiatur, you can take a leisurely stroll from the Parliament House in Bern to the Piazza Grande in Locarno, stand in front of the Matterhorn in Valais a short time later and look out over Chillon Castle on Lake Geneva. More than 130 buildings stand next to each other here, each hand-made on a scale of 1:25 and surrounded by model railways and ships.
- Good to know: By train from Lugano you can reach Melide in 7 minutes.
A look behind the scenes
In the studio and in the workshop you can see how the models are created. Craftsmen and craftsmen recreate every smallest detail on a scale of 1:25. This requires a lot of manual work and countless custom-made products. The trains and all moving parts of the layout are also maintained here.
- Good to know: A guided tour lasts 30 minutes and can be booked for groups of 10 or more.

Rudy's Quiz Course
Rudy, the mascot of Swissminiatur, guides you through the park with 15 questions. The questions are spread over the model landscapes and give you an understanding of facts about Switzerland and the miniatures. This turns the tour into an educational game for you and the whole family.
