St. Moritz ranks amongst the world’s top holiday destinations. Steeped in tradition, it is the birthplace of winter tourism in the Alps (1864) and the venue of two Winter Olympic Games. The Muottas Muragl funicular railway was the first mountain railway in the canton of Graubünden to open up a scenic mountain for tourism. The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl was also a pioneering achievement: As part of a comprehensive renovation, it was named the first plus-energy hotel in the Alps in 2010.

Martinskirche (St. Martin's Church) is found in the little village of Zillis in Graubuenden. The church is famous for its painted ceiling dating to the 12th century. The ceiling painting, which consists of 153 panels, is the only one in the world that is nearly completely preserved.
