スイスを代表する氷河の山アラリンホルンの麓に位置するミッテルアラリンは標高3500mの万年雪と氷河の世界でサース・フェーの観光ハイライトです。世界最高所の回転レストランと氷の洞窟（氷の宮殿）が有名。4000m級の山々に囲まれたアルプスの絶景展望スポットで、ヴァレー山群はもちろん、アイガー、メンヒ、ユングフラウの３名山を含むベルナーアルプス、フランスからイタリアの峰々まで見渡すことができます。一帯は夏スキーも楽しめる人気のスキー場でもあります。

世界遺産に登録されているベルンの旧市街を見下ろす高台に広がる花の美しい公園。23000平方メートルの敷地に約8000種の植物が栽培されています。アイリスのほか、ツツジやアザレアなどもありますが、何といってもメインは“花の女王”ともいわれるバラの花が、約7500本あるバラ園です。約220種のバラは早咲きのものから遅咲きのものまで春から秋にかけて次々に咲いていきます。また、4月には日本から贈られた桜の花も咲き誇ります。

イタリアとの国境にあたるルガーノ湖の南。メンドリジオット地方にある鬱蒼とした森に覆われた標高1096mの小高い山「モンテ・サン・ジョルジオ（サン・ジョルジオ山）」。そこから発見されたトライアシック（三畳紀*）の貴重な化石群で注目を集めました。最大6mの大きさを誇る化石、恐竜の祖先といわれるティキノスクス、地球史上最も長い首を持っていたというタニストロフェウスなど、約150年の間に発掘された１万点を超す脊椎動物や魚類、海生爬虫類は、その数と希少さで世界に類を見ないもの。一帯はかつてサンゴ礁が囲む豊かな海で、古地中海といわれる太古のテティス海とつながっていたと考えられています。その海底にあった石灰質の泥に遺骸が閉じ込められ、後の地殻変動で山になったため、非常に良い状態で保存されていた化石が発掘されました。観光的なスポットではなく、学術的に意味の高い場所なので、観光客よりもむしろ研究者や学生などが訪れています。

シュヴィーツ郊外のシュラットリからガソリン車乗り入れ禁止の山村シュトースまで結ぶケーブルカー。最高勾配110%（1100パーミル）で、世界一急勾配のケーブルカーとなりました。アルプスの険しい山の斜面をのぼっていく虫のような、ドラム型キャビン（客車）をつなげた独特の形も話題を集めています。

シャフハウゼン近郊にあるライン滝は、スイスで最も有名な自然景勝地である。大量の水が岩肌を流れ落ちる。ラウフェン城の展望台やボートツアーから、その壮大な光景を堪能できます。
