Lenzburg is located in Central Switzerland, around 25-kilometers west of Zurich, by the A1 Motorway. And thanks to numerous fast train connections, Lenzburg is also easily reached with public transport.

A town fit for all! Lenzburg lies at 405-meter altitude, is populated by around 8,800 inhabitants, and extends over a total 1,132-hectare area, 600 of which are woods. The small town with medieval Old Town of national importance is discovered at the heart of the Lenzburg castle region; home to the Lenzburg, Hallwyl, Wildegg, Brunegg and Habsburg castles.

Visitors during the winter months experience a quieter town, at a time when the castle doors are closed. Although, as Christmas draws closer, diverse events such as the traditional Chlauschlöpfe and Christmas market add festive colour and warmth - together with diverse tasteful restaurants that tempt you to a delicious bite to eat.
The characteristic Old Town is an attractive place to linger – and the proud Castle Lenzburg, one of Switzerland’s most famous castles. Atop a hill, today the castle is home to a museum and a great place to learn some history; with the aid of additional regional museums that live to tell the story of this interesting town and region. In particular, the “Esterliturm” tower in the Lenzburg Castle offers extensive views over Lenzburg as far the Black Forest and central Switzerland.
