Przepiękny ogród różany położony bezpośrednio nad miasteczkiem Heiligberg. To prawdziwa perełka dla miłośników róż - oaza spokoju z ponad 300 różnymi gatunkami róż w przepięknym otoczeniu.
The Rose Garden is a real gem among the city’s public green spaces. Just a short walk from the old town, it invites visitors to relax and reflect for a while. Originally part of the former villa garden owned by the Reinhart family, it was transformed into the Rose Garden as it is now to mark Winterthur’s 700th birthday in 1964.
Two ancient oak trees that grew in a way that they are now intertwined with one another form a theatrical backdrop of trees together with the beeches, and the tea house built in 1911 and the supporting walls and benches give the Rose Garden a certain something.
Fans of roses can also expect to see a few rarities: The cherry-red remontant rose “Ulrich Brunner Fils”, the world-famous “La France”, which was cultivated in 1867, and countless representatives of Damask, Portland, Bourbon, Centifolia and Moss roses.
