Hint

Intro

The hike starts in Malval and follows the entire course of the Allondon, a tributary of the Rhone and hugely important floodplain biotope.

Description

From picturesque Malval, the hike first goes down to the Allondon river. The riverbed is wide and perfect for a leisurely wander over the gravel to discover the fascinating ways the water flows. There are also plenty of picnic spots along the forest edge. A little downriver from there, the path crosses the Roulave stream and the ascent begins on a narrow trail. A left turn on reaching the road takes hikers all the way to the Swiss border in the forest of Grand Bois de Roulave, via the hamlet of La Tuilière next to Dardagny. Past Les Rippes and various local wine cellars, it is a leisurely walk back to Malval.

An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
