Szwajcarskie Muzeum Gier
Overview
Intro
Because games act as great mediators between generations, the Swiss Games Museum is the family museum 'par excellence'.
Whatever their origins and customs, humans continue to communicate naturally and spontaneously with each other by playing. From the simple game of 'dés' (played with stones, balls, marbles or pétanque balls), to the subtle geometry involved in chess, the diversity of games does not obey a single classification rule. Interactive and user-friendly, this museum invites you to take a journey into the fascinating universe of familiar and unusual games, for example 'Pachisi' from India, 'Awele' from Africa and 'Nyout' from Korea.
Wedding
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, the idyllic and romantic Château de La Tour-de-Peilz and the Swiss Museum of the Game form a common harmonious site. Games are an invention of nature: playing is a deep need of any human. Complying with rules, learning respect and fair play – playing is essential to any civil society. No wonder this location is appropriate to host weddings!
