Claude Dussez ... just passing through!
Overview
Intro
Black-and-White Photography Exhibition
The relentless passage of time, the interpretation of reality through the medium of photography, and the human condition form the starting points for this perspective on the world. Through the use of long exposures, certain images seem to capture the past, the present, and perhaps even the future simultaneously: a notion of “...transition” that the photographer seeks to highlight in his current work.Photography thus does not merely freeze a specific moment but becomes a space of transition, where movements transform, leaving traces in their wake.As you move through the space and view these photographs, they dissolve into a shifting sense of time. A dialogue then emerges between the image and the viewer, creating the illusion of almost perpetual motion. The photographs in the project …de passage! presented at Les Caves de Courten in Sierre were taken between 2017 and 2025 in Switzerland, Japan, France, the United States, Greece, India, Italy, Spain, Morocco, England, and Iceland.
