바젤(Basel) 메세플라츠(Messeplatz) 전시장은 꼭 대형 전시회가 열리는 때가 아니라도 시간을 내 들러볼 가치가 충분하다. 클라인바젤(Kleinbasel), 리틀 바젤(little Basel)로 불리는 지역의 중심에 자리잡은 넓은 공간인 이곳은 언뜻 보아서는 가늠하기 힘든 커다란 건축물로 둘러싸여 있다. 이런 거대 건축물로는 105m 높이의 모르제 & 데겔로(Morger & Degelo) 타워를 비롯, 헤르조그 & 드 뫼롱(Herzog & de Meuron)이 “하늘을 향한 창(window to the heavens)”을 달아 새롭게 지은 건물 등을 들 수 있다.

Irchelpark is an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy being surrounded by nature. Trees and bushes shield this relaxing retreat from the streets surrounding it. It’s not uncommon to cross paths with students of the University of Zurich’s Irchel Campus here. The institution’s buildings are set in an enchanting location in the upper part of the park.

90만m2의 면적에 그림 같은 연못을 지닌 오비브 공원(Parc des Eaux-Vives)은 제네바에서 가장 아름다운 공원 중 하나이다.

Dreilindenpark – colloquially also known as “Konsipark” – is not only the largest public park in the city of Lucerne, offering breathtaking views, but also a place of culture. 1895~1897년 지어진 빌라 보베리(Villa Boveri)는 발터 보베리(Walter Boveri)가의 바덴 거주지였다. 이 가문은 브라운 보버리 앤 시에(Brown Boveri & Cie) 사의 공동 창업주이다. 저택과 공원 모두 진정한 유적으로 당국의 보호를 받고 있다.

에르미타쥬(Hermitage)는 매우 신비로운 장소이다. 아를레스하임 에르미타쥬(Arlesheim Ermitage)를 방문하는 이들은 과거 깊은 명상을 위해 끊임없이 이 곳을 찾았던 은둔자들과 똑 같은 길을 따라 걷게 된다. 은둔자들의 길을 따라 걷는 모든 이들은 행복한 고독 속에서 살았던 옛 형제들의 흔적을 보며 깊은 생각에 빠질 수 밖에 없을 것이다.

카푸친(Capuchin) 수도회 근처 및 “샨츠(Schanz)”에 있는 장미 정원에서 5월부터 10월까지 피어나는 2만여 송이의 장미 덕분에 라퍼스빌(Rapperswil)은 “장미 도시”라는 별명을 얻게 되었다.

앱상트 제조 - “초록 요정”이라고도 불리는 앱상트는 90년이 넘도록 금지된 술이었다. 다양한 식물과 허브를 기반으로 증류되는 신비의 술은 2005년부터 다시 합법적으로 판매할 수 있게 되었다.

장미 정원은 꽃을 사랑하는 이들의 메카이며 긴장을 풀기 좋은 곳이다. 멋진 위치에 자리한 레스토랑과 베른 구시가의 아름다운 전경이 장미 정원의 자랑거리다.

공원 내에는 탑의 유적, 폭포, 신고전주의의 사원, 오렌지 과수원, 조류 사육장과 이국적이고 거대한 나무들이 있어 영국식 정원의 가장 아름다운 예로 꼽힌다.

이 웅장한 식물원은 마지오레 호수(Lago Maggiore)의 감바로뇨(Gambarogno) 측면, 피아쪼냐(Piazzogna)와 바이라노(Vairano) 사이 테라스 지형 언덕 위에 자리하고 있다. 이곳 파르코 보타니코 델 감바로뇨(Parco Botanico del Gambarogno) 재단은 아낌없는 사랑과 뛰어난 실력으로 1만 7,000제곱미터 규모의 다채로운 식물원을 관리하고 있다.

Children from all over the world play, mums and dads chat away to one another and students read here at the City Park Biel. The large park with playground and lawned areas provides a peaceful spot for people to gather in the heart of the city.

애플 트레일(Apple Trail)과 마을을 지나는 도보 루트는 알트나우(Altnau)의 농업 가운데 오랫동안 과수재배가 중요한 역할을 해왔음을 증명한다. 사과의 다양한 품종에 대한 퍼즐, 재밌는 농담과 질문 등이 적힌 정보 패널은 보는 이에게 이 사과재배 지역과 사과 자체에 대한 가치 있는 정보를 전달한다. 또한 방문객들은 프레디(Fredi), 리시(Lisi), 엠마(Emma)라는 이름을 지닌 세 명의 매력적인 사과 마스코트를 만날 수 있다.

로쉐-드-네(Rochers-de-Naye) 계곡에 우뚝 서 있는 봉우리에는, 고산 식물 정원이 자리하고 있으며, 이 곳에 훌륭하게 배치된 바위 정원에는 특별히 재배되고 있는 다양한 식물들이 있으며 또한, 이 곳에는 600여 종이 넘는 토종 식물들이 포함되어 있다.

도심에 위치한 공원에서는 로잔(Lausanne)과 호수의 멋진 풍경을 볼 수 있다.

Around 8,000 plant species from all over the world thrive on the two hectares of the Botanical Gardens at Stephanshorn, St. Gallen. Special features include the Tropical House, with its rainforest plants, succulents and orchids, and the architecturally remarkable Alpine House.
