スイスの貯水湖・ダム : サース・フェー

South in the Saas Valley is the largest earth dam in Europe, the Mattmark Dam. The reservoir, which is used to generate electricity, is a real power spot, and is fascinating not only for its technical details but also for its wild and romantic location.

Along the Fairy Tale Path, the kids hear exciting stories and legends about Saas-Fee and the surrounding mountains.

スイスを代表する氷河の山アラリンホルンの麓に位置するミッテルアラリンは標高3500mの万年雪と氷河の世界でサース・フェーの観光ハイライトです。世界最高所の回転レストランと氷の洞窟（氷の宮殿）が有名。4000m級の山々に囲まれたアルプスの絶景展望スポットで、ヴァレー山群はもちろん、アイガー、メンヒ、ユングフラウの３名山を含むベルナーアルプス、フランスからイタリアの峰々まで見渡すことができます。一帯は夏スキーも楽しめる人気のスキー場でもあります。

標高の高さは、スイスでトップクラス。ロープウェイを横目に見ながら森の中をかけ抜けるコースは、まさに大自然にとけこんだジェットコースター。急勾配の斜面をリフトで上ったら一気に滑降します。

Don your helmet, carabiner and harness and clamber over bridges and wind your way along narrow paths through the snow-clad and sometimes icy Fee Gorge. A clear head for heights and a certain degree of courage will stand you in good stead for this tour.

A tree-top trek involving a variety of suspension bridges and aerial cableways. A sensational experience, open to everyone (minimum height 1m 10), to be enjoyed at your own pace. Whether you are a fitness fanatic or a couch potato, you can have lots of fun.

The Britannia via ferrata in the Saas Valley offers a breathtaking climbing experience and a unique view of the Allalin and Mattmark area.

There are many marmots to be found in Spielboden near Saas-Fee, sometimes hiding in their burrows, but often coming out to greet visitors.

The Allalin area in Saas-Fee is a place of superlatives – one of the longest ski runs in the Alps leads directly into the village from the world’s highest revolving restaurant at 3,500m. The ski area is suitable for pleasure skiers and connoisseurs alike.
