Intro
Willa fundacji Hermitage prezentuje wyłącznie wystawy okresowe. Niezmienne są za to widoki na Jezioro Genewskie i katedrę Notre-Dame, które już dawno temu inspirowały pejzażystę Camille Corot.
W 1841 roku bankier Charles-Juste Bugnion zakupił teren powyżej Lozanny i wzniósł na nim pałacyk. Roztaczający się stąd widok na katedrę Notre-Dame, najważniejszą budowlę szwajcarskiego gotyku, oraz na jezioro w swoim obrazie uwiecznił Camille Corot.
W 1976 roku jego potomkowie przekazali budynek i część parku miastu Lozannie, a równocześnie została założona prywatna fundacja. W jej posiadaniu są obrazy kantonalnych i zagranicznych artystów z przeszłości i współczesności, wśród nich Bocion, Degas, Magritte, Oudot i Plazzotta. Fundacja każdego roku organizuje dwie do trzech dużych wystaw okresowych o międzynarodowym znaczeniu.

The farm, which adjoins the museum, is made up of various modular spaces, including the L’Esquisserestaurant, whose catering service offers personalised menus to delight your taste buds. The magical setting of the Fondation de l’Hermitage makes it a perfect venue for private events.
