All cycling routes in Thun

From Uetendorf railway station, the route leads along the renatured River Limpach through fertile agricultural country until Gerzensee and the steep climb to Belpberg. This tour delights with great views of the Aare, Gürbe and Stockental valleys.

From Thun into Kiesental, a wide panorama in Gysenstein, rolling hills give way to knolls and gullies in Emmental, a picture-book landscape, large farmsteads sit comfortably on good land forcing poorer fellows on to the Schattenseiten.

Over gentle hills, passing tiny moraine lakes to «Chabisland» (cabbage country). An easy roll between clearly laid-out fields, silver planes waiting to take off in Belpmoos. Follow the River Aare at ground level, then ride through the lanes of Bern's UNESCO-listed Old Town.

This 72-kilometer tour is the “royal stage” of the Heart Route and prominently shows the advantages of the E-bike.

An easy ride through the wide, flat Gürbe Valley. Passing by the airport, the route runs straight through Bern's Old Town. It leads from the industrial Wangen Valley to the Sense, then follows the river to Laupen with its veranda houses before reaching Golaten via the Biberen plateau.

From the scenic town of Thun by the same-named lake, the route heads up towards the Gurnigel Pass into the untouched Alpine foothills of the Gantrisch region. Panoramic single trails lead into the Fribourg Alps and Lake Schwarzsee.

A sporty high-level pedal from Thun to Interlaken with breathtaking views of the mountain world, up to the glacier village of Grindelwald and on over Grosse Scheidegg, always in close contact with majestic world-famous peaks.

The Gantrisch landscape reserve provides the delightful context for this loop featuring the Gurnigel, a pass popular with local cyclists.

Through down-to-earth Emmental with its flower-adorned farmhouses, a stop at St.Urban monastery, on through the Seetal valley with shallow lakes rimmed with reeds, over the Reuss into Säuliamt, the metropolis of Zurich already calling.

By way of Uetendorfberg to Wattenwil on the River Gürbe. From here to the northern slopes of the Stockhorn range, with beautiful views of the Stockental valley and Bernese Alps. Riding through the Seeliswald nature reserve will take you to the Glütschbachtal valley.
