High above Lake Lucerne and near Brunnen, visitors will find the village on Morschach on a sun terrace. It is quickly reached from Lucerne, Zug and Zürich.

The sports and leisure area Atzmännig near the gates of Zurich offers fun leisure activities for the entire family. In the summer numerous attractions lure visitors to the region. The region is also a starting point for short and long hikes. In the winter there are wonderful ski pistes for young and old.

Biel has many facets: you will find modern buildings on the lakeshore alongside historic buildings in the old town higher up. The centre of the watchmaking industry with the Cité du Temps will inspire you just as much as the winegrowing villages and the Taubenloch Gorge towards the Jura.

St-Luc and Chandolin are situated on the sunny eastern slope of the Val d'Anniviers (Eifischtal) and enjoy a majestic panorama. Spectacular scenery, attractive walking country and the ultra-modern astronomical observatory will keep boredom at bay.

A stroll through this village is the highlight of any visit to the Val d'Anniviers. The narrow, pedestrianised main street is lined with sun-blackened wooden houses adorned with hundreds of fiery red geraniums. In the cellar of the Burgher House, a white glacier wine is aged in the “Tonneau de l'Evêque” cask.

In Bellinzona – probably the most Italian city in Switzerland – you’ll find a real mix of grandeur and coziness. This is where the St. Gotthard and San Bernardino alpine passes come together, and it is also an ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The impressive winegrowing village of Hallau, with its beautifully maintained appearance, is nestled among the extensive vineyards of Klettgau, which the locals often refer to as “Weinfass und Kornkammer” (“Wine cask and granary").

Just by Basel, at the start of the navigable Rhine, lies the charming little "Zähringer" town of Rheinfelden. The historic town centre with its typical wide market street and delightful side lanes is an inviting area in which to wander, explore and do some shopping.

Saas-Grund, the “Hiking Pearl”, has guaranteed snow in winter and a host of activities in summer. This pleasant holiday destination offers a huge range of exciting experiences for all ages. The inspiring mountain surroundings provide an ideal setting for quality time with the whole family.

Zweisimmen is part of the holiday region of Gstaad, famous as a hiking and winter sports paradise. The chalet village on the Rinderberg is known for alpine farms and mountain cheese, as well as its Simmental cows fed on lush pastures. Make sure to take a trip on the GoldenPass panoramic train to Montreux.

Chamoson covers 3,500 hectares of orchards, vineyards, mountain pastures, meadows and rocks. Its surprisingly diverse terrain stretches from the banks of the Rhone to the rugged peaks of the Haut de Cry.

Saint-Ursanne spreads out in a forested valley and fascinates visitors with its medieval centre. The town is located on the River Doubs and can be reached via a charming bridge.

The name Bivio means "parting of the ways" and is inseparably bound up with two ancient Roman passes, the Septimer and the Julier. The highest village in Surses with just 260 souls to its name, Bivio has what must be the most extraordinary linguistic make-up in all of Europe, or so one scholar of note has concluded.

The small medieval city of Saint-Maurice is located at the entrance of the Upper Rhône Valley, between a rock face and the river. It is home to the renowned abbey as well as a castle.

Lenzburg is located in Central Switzerland, around 25-kilometers west of Zurich, by the A1 Motorway. And thanks to numerous fast train connections, Lenzburg is also easily reached with public transport.

The Jura Vaudois Nature Park extends from the summit of La Dôle to the medieval monastic town of Romainmôtier. To the north lies the Vallée de Joux at an altitude of 1,000m. Visitor programmes are offered by the park office and local tourism organisations.

The idyllic Zurich Oberland is not far from Zurich. In the heart of this hiking and cycling area lies not only the highest mountain in the Canton of Zurich, but also the highest waterfall.

Little is known about the origins of the settlement on the southern bridgehead of the Rhine crossing at Rötteln (Rotwasserstelz) Castle. The first recorded mention of Keiserstuol dates back to 1227,

Just a few kilometres from the well-known Ticino resorts of Locarno and Ascona are the unspoilt romantic valleys known as the Valli di Locarno. The most well-known are the Centovalli, the Onsernone, Maggia and Verzasca valleys.

Nestled between the mighty Säntis massif and the seven Churfirsten peaks, the resorts of Alt St. Johann, Unterwasser and Wildhaus are among the highest-lying municipalities in Toggenburg. Eastern Switzerland's largest winter sports area is just one hour from the airport and Zurich.

The quaint mountain village of Unterbäch, with its panoramic views of the Bietschhorn, is a relaxing, family-friendly place. Thanks to its first-class location atop a sunny high plateau, the hamlet basks in over 2,000 hours of sunshine each year.

Arth-Goldau, the Schwyz twin locality located between Lakes Zug and Lauerz, is the starting point for the trip up the Rigi, as well as a Lake Zug boat cruise. The alluvial fan of the huge avalanche is now home to the renowned Goldau Zoo. Last but not least, Arth-Goldau is an important railway node along the Gotthard line.

Bad Ragaz in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley at the foot of the Pizol has a long tradition as a health spa. Today it is a wellness resort with top-class hotels, thermal baths and golf courses. The warm (37°C) healing waters bubble up from inside the mountain in the deep, mysterious Tamina Gorge in nearby Pfäfers.

The village of Täsch is 1,449 metres above sea level and is home to around 998 people. It is situated 6 km from the world-famous tourist region of Zermatt and its majestic landmark - the Matterhorn. Täsch is effectively the gateway to this huge and amazing mountain range.

Arosa Lenzerheide, with its countless meadows, mountain streams and crystal clear mountain lakes offers a wealth of possibilities in summer. And in winter, diverse cross-country ski tracks, winter hiking paths and ski slopes extending over 225 kilometres are yours to enjoy.

Splügen is a typical pass village with well preserved architecture, impressive palazzi and sun-browned wooden Walser houses.

The relaxed holiday resort in the middle of the Bernese Alps is characterised by its village atmosphere. In winter the idyllic chalet village and hikers' paradise turns into a winter sports paradise.

Making a stop in Sion is well worthwhile: the oldest of Switzerland’s cities in the sunny Rhône Valley is characterised by its fortress hills and its old town. From here, you can explore the Valais region and sample specialities such as the famous Valais wines in the vineyards themselves.

The unspoilt countryside of Visperterminen, the Heida wine village at the entrance to the Visper valley, which lies 1,378m above sea level, is a paradise for walkers and offers a fantastic view of the gleaming white 4,000m peaks of the Valais and Bernese Alps.

This charming Valaisan village is situated at the mouth of the Rhone where it feeds into Lake Geneva. It is known for its beautiful beach and its amusement parks, the Aquaparc and the Swiss Vapeur Parc.

Located in the huge skiing area of "Les Portes du Soleil", the resort of Champéry in the Val d'Illiez in the Lower Valais has still managed to preserve much its traditional charm.

Monte Generoso has so much to offer: a sweeping view of northern Italy and Ticino, the opportunity to discover traces of prehistoric cultures in the Bear Cave, to sense the vast horizons of interstellar space in the astronomical observatory or learn a great deal on various theme hikes.

The tranquil central Swiss holiday and excursion region around Küssnacht am Rigi lies where Tell once felled his adversary, Gessler. The Seebodenalp is a vista-rich plateau half-way up the “queen of the mountains”, the Rigi.

At the northern rim of the Alps, in the midst of the Bernese Oberland, Lake Thun is surrounded by a fabulous mountain scenery, a myriad of cozy villages, and the charming cities of Thun and Interlaken.

Val Lumnezia, Surselva’s largest side valley, which stretches from Ilanz towards the south, is a sunny alpine valley with a stunning panorama. It is regarded as a small but beautiful natural vacation destination.

Lötschental lies embedded in an imposing mountain landscape between the Valaisian and Bernese Alps. The mostly undeveloped valley with its still authentic villages lures visitors to enjoy a vacation in pristine surroundings, far from the large tourism centers.
