フィアヴァルトシュテッターゼー（通称：ルツェルン湖）の湖畔にあり、1789年に分離して独立したフィッツナウとともに、古くからリギ山観光の拠点として栄えてきた町です。1968年に開通した空中ケーブルで、リギ・カルトバートへ結びます。

Centovalli (Hundred Valleys) owes its name to the countless side valleys on both sides of the central valley. Since time immemorial it has been an important transit region between Switzerland and Italy. The erstwhile farming village Chamues-ch lies at the entrance to the mystical chamois valley, the Val Chamuera.

The historic town of Aubonne is already seen from afar, owing to its conspicuous white tower that stands proudly above the vineyards. The Signal de Bougy amusement park and National Arboretum lie at no distance from here.

The picturesque Lower Engadin village of Sent enjoys a sunny location with wonderful views high above the valley floor, amid broad expanses of agricultural land and forest. The village currently has about 900 inhabitants and is a Rhaeto-Romanic stronghold.

The Sörenberg holiday resort lies in the Entlebuch Unesco biosphere at an altitude of 1165 meters. With its unique plant and animal life, this fantastic moor landscape earned the region the distinction as one of a mere 400-biosphere reserves in the world. A true highlight for nature lovers and families.

Veysonnaz is a mountain village typical of the Valais canton, situated on a slope above Sion, with beautiful views over the Rhone valley and to the Bernese Alps. The hiking area extends right up to the high peaks of the Valais Alps. In winter, Veysonnaz forms part of the "Four Valleys" skiing area, with over 400 km of prepared slopes.

The small town of Zofingen at the western tip of Aargau canton, once the seat of the Frohburgs, is famed for its beautifully intact Old Town with gardens along the former surrounding walls, and the Heiternplatz square at the top of Zofingen's "own" hill, the venue for the annual Heitere Open Air festival.

Brienz/Brinzauls is situated on a natural sun terrace on the road between Lenzerheide and Davos at an altitude of around 1,150m.
