Thomas and Mara Graef and the Höhwald team warmly welcome you to the Gasthaus Höhwald in the small Walser village of Monbiel at an altitude of 1,300 meters.

The unique rooms in the Madrisa-Hof offer unparalleled comfort with style. The log cabin, built in 2013, is situated on a sunny plateau with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain panorama.

The Gemsli is a small but fine mountain inn with a rustic guest room. Our spacious sun terrace can be used to enjoy, celebrate but also to work.

Hollywood legends used to beat a path to the Chesa Grischuna: Kirk Douglas, Billy Wilder and Elizabeth Taylor all came here and felt at home in the pine-panelled dining room. No wonder, because this listed establishment combines authentic comfort with wonderfully traditional gourmet cuisine.

To this day, the Schatzalp Mountain Resort presents itself in a pure Art Nouveau style, and it seems that, from time to time, guests can still feel the morbid wind that once ruffled Hans Castorp’s hair in the epic novel “The Magic Mountain” by Thomas Mann. Nostalgics can immerse themselves into the Belle Époque atmosphere that lingers around the legendary halls and corridors of this magnificent building which remains virtually unchanged, and thus catch a glimpse of eternity.

Ever since the Swiss docusoap “Mini Beiz, dini Beiz” (my pub, your pub), the picturesque Berghaus Alpenrösli, full of Alpine cosiness, is known all over Switzerland. After an hour of walking from Klosters through the wintry landscape, the mountain lodge is the ideal place for some rest.

Our Grischunstübli is a little gem. Here our guests are greeted in winter by the crackling open fire, which gives the beautiful room with its vaulted ceiling an enchanting ambience.

Sheepskin covers heat up the chairs on the lovely sun terrace of this former Walser-style farmhouse. Here, the hullabaloo of the ski huts gives way to rustic elegance.

In the restaurant Chua-Gada we will spoil you with delicious meals.
