Built in 1969, the Piz Gloria rotating restaurant was used to shoot some of the scenes in the James Bond film, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

Since time immemorial, the Restaurant Stägerstübli has stood for the "tradition of coziness". Here, locals, weekend Mürreners and vacation guests meet for carefree enjoyment.

“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” is the most Swiss of all the James Bond movies as it is mainly set in the Bernese Oberland. The most memorable location of the 1969 movie was the world’s first revolving restaurant which, since then, has kept the film name “Piz Gloria”.

Ideal before and after the mountain experience. In 45 minutes the restaurant turns around its own axis, passing over 200 mountain peaks. The restaurant is served and offers a wide range of dishes from snacks to regional dishes.
