The German Heiko Nieder has been cooking at the elegant The Restaurant for eight years and surprises his guests time and time again with daring interpretations of supposedly well-known dishes. He conjures up dishes out of turbot, beef or regional vegetables with ingredients that taste of adventure: for example, wild pear, green tea or liquorice.

The Maison Manesse is perfect for people who enjoy fine dining but prefer a relaxed setting. Fabian Spiquel's cuisine attests to his great skill and a delightfully impertinent streak. The menu, sometimes with meat and sometimes without, changes almost weekly and is always full of surprises.

The Waid restaurant has certainly flourished since Thomas Hofstetter took charge. Guests no longer come just for the panoramic view that stretches across the city of Zurich to the Glarus Alps; they are also equally enthusiastic about the food. The wok specialities in particular have been a hit for many years.

Bratwurst sausage with rösti and mustard, mince with macaroni and apple sauce or a piece of boiled meat – the trendy Rosaly's restaurant promises “mum's cooking, but without mum”. With their Sternen Grill, restaurant and coffee bar, the Rosenberger brothers have been a firm favourite on Bellevue Square for many years.
